BT Broadband has announced that it will launch OnLive, the online gaming service in UK.  Presently the gaming world and gaming addicts are waiting for OnLive to be formally launched in USA.

Bt Btoradband play on PC, Mac or a special Micro Console which can also be connected to your HDTV.

A BT Data Centre in Wales is currently witnessing OnLive testing activities since 2009.  The Games in the Standard definition do work best in a 1.5 MB broadband speed but for the best gaming experience in HD you would need a 5 MB broadband speed.

At present, customers across all BT Broadband bundles enjoy a speed of up to 20 MB. BT has already prepared a £2.5 billion plan to supply next generation broadband to the whole country. This move reiterates BT‘s commitment to provide high speed broadband all over UK.

Most recently, 15,000 BT broadband customers in Downend, Bristol   can now access 40MB broadband. At the current pace, BT will soon be able to provide 50,000 more connections in Bristol with 40MB Broadband speed

At a few places, BT Broadband customers could be lucky enough to receive maximum download speeds of 100Mbps under ‘fibre to the home’ while those customers receiving ‘fibre to cabinet’ broadband can enjoy  40MB Broadband speed

British Telecom is not alone in the race of providing high speed broadband in UK. UK also has Virgin Media providing high speed network which covers just 50% of UK homes. Virgin Media provides 50Mbps to its top broadband bundle customers. Virgin Media is promising a download speed of 200 Mbps to select areas in UK.

Currently BT offers Broadband along with a home hub, security system and unlimited weekend or anytime calls to UK landlines absolutely free. After three months, customers will have to pay £7.49 a month. For current offers and updates on Broadband packages and bundles you could check out http://www.broadband-bundles.co.uk/
